First the Live show, now a festival!

Wellll.... yet another something to be excited about even though i have a snowflake in hell's chance of going!

After wasting lots of time messing about on facebook and checking the groups, i stumbled across this.............................
' Looks like the boosh are planning a festival'.... so i investigated, and concluded that:

The mighty boosh are planning to headline their own festival! Apparently they're the new rock 'n' roll?!
All i really know is it's at the Hop Farm, near Tonbridge in Kent, on Saturday July 5!!!! and they're expecting 30,000 people!
Also, some of their friends might also be playing at the festival, like:

The Horrors

Razorlight

Robots in disguise

and possibly Russell brand

WOW!
Anyway because i'm so lazy and i really need to do some revision for my German oral exam (IN FOUR DAYS!!!!!!!!!!) I'm sure you'd love to read it for yourselves......

tickets are apparently like £50+ though so i doubt i can afford it

  Yeah i know what you mean about the price....
  but it's still something i can pretend to be excited about, jus like the live show!

They are packing SO much in this year!! Did you know there's a BOOK in the works too?? And the movie [not this year though obviously]!! Jeeeez...

Never before have I seen this much packed into such a short space of time, worse than Russell Brand? He got a book, a movie, still does his radio show, Ponderland happened, but that was late last year...the Big Fat Quiz which he's apparently doing again...again with Noel, his stand-up shows??

I'd say him and the Boosh are level...ish. Russell may be worse but the Booosh are doing huger things.

  I've heard about the movie-thingy, but nothing about a book...
  
  The festival sounds interesting even though I won't be able to go.. Think I'm in Germany by then :/

    I heard on the Boosh forum:
    
    Twelve publishers are pitching for the rights to a tie-in book to BBC cult comedy show "The Mighty Boosh", with some offering six-figure sums to secure a deal.
    
    The show, which was created by comedians Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding, charts the surreal adventures of zookeepers Howard Moon and Vince Noir. It has achieved a substantial cult following since Barratt and Fielding started performing together in 1998.
    
    Barratt and Fielding's agent, Caroline Chignell of PBJ Management, said she hoped the book would be published to coincide with their nationwide tour in the autumn. She said the book was in its early stages but would be aimed at fans. "They are not quite sure what it will be about yet," she said. "But they don't want to do a conventional biography; more a story of how their comic creations came to life. The programme is so visually inspiring that the challenge for them is to match that in their book." Chignell said that the comedians were currently mulling the offers on the table.
    
    Yeah, I can't even afford the festival so I won't be going...

  Yeah i totally agree, Russell's doing more but the Boosh things are huge! Wembley, the festival, the movie and no i didn't know about the book!
  That's something else to look forward too!
  Aren't they also meant to be making an album and playing as a 'boosh band'??
