Ok..... I'm booored, i'm ignoring revision and i thought it was about time i posted on here seen as i've been drowning in GCSE 'stuff' and so i haven't had chance for a while. So, while listening to IAMX, this is what i came up with as an attempt at a post.
I have also been thinking quite a lot about the monster that lurks in the shadows which takes the form of our school prom. Everyone tells me it should be fantastic but to be honest i just can't see it happening. As far as i know it's gone to everyone's heads far too much, because the people on the prom committee have already decided on the dress code (dress code?! i was planning to go in a hoodie and jeans, but somehow, i don't think that's going to be allowed).
Yes, it's tuxedos (?) for the guys and long flowing dresses for us girlies..... which to me just means yet another thing for me to worry about- finding/choosing/buying a dress! You have to understand this is quite a trauma for me, seen as i only actually own two dresses at the moment (i'll see if i can take a picture) and they're hardly ball gowns. I kinda live in skinny jeans and t-shirts, so buying a dress for a party at xmas gave my mum a huge shock! There's also the added complication of me being quite little, and i don't particularly want to end up looking like an oompa-loompa with really short legs by getting the wrong shaped dress.....
On top of the dress situation, i also have to deal with my friends, who seem to insist on using it as a weapon in their constant wars against each other. They're arguing about who's booking which limo (what limo?! no-one told me about any limo!), who's wearing which colour dresses in which style, and who's going with who and who's getting ready where! Being a bear of very little brain, this seems to be a bit too much for my overloaded mind, and now i'm totally confused.
Apparently it's on a Tuesday. That's all i know.
Anyway, i reckon i'm being too negative about the whole thing....erm..... on the plus side...... it might be nice for the whole of year 11 to be together for once...
Oh, and watching one particular friend of mine trying to dance might be quite funny.......somehow it's looking like the cons outweigh the pros. I'm sure i'll start to look forward to it the closer i get to it........
In the meantime, there's the small matter of trying tp get all 11 GCSEs to attend to!
x
